Forrester case study: Telecom NZ partners with Infosys to develop TCoE

Telecom New Zealand partnered with Infosys to successfully develop a testing center of excellence (TCoE) on time and within a budget. A case study published by Forrester Research cites the industry expertise and experience that Infosys carries and the innovative testing practices at Infosys as reasons for the TCoE's success.

Infosys enabled a smooth implementation of the TCoE by:

  • Combining in-house tools at Telecom NZ with proprietary testing methodologies
  • Deploying a three-step transition model of knowledge transfer, shadow testing, and primary testing
  • Incorporating automation and testing best practices

The robust quality processes established by Infosys helped reduce testing costs by NZ$470,000; improve defect-detection efficiency by up to 98%; and accelerate time to market significantly. Further, by establishing the TCoE, Telecom NZ was able to avoid financial penalties totaling NZ$10 million.

The Infosys TCoE solution combines a strategic governance framework, automated testing, and innovative test methodologies that are integrated with the practices and tools of global customers.
