Forrester case study: Telecom NZ partners with Infosys to develop TCoE

Telecom New Zealand partnered with Infosys to successfully develop a Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) on time and within budget. In a case study published by Forrester Research, Infosys' industry expertise and experience, and innovative testing practices are cited as reasons for the TCoE's success.

Infosys enabled a smooth implementation of the TCoE by -

  • Combining in-house tools at Telecom NZ with proprietary testing methodologies
  • Deploying a three-step transition model of knowledge transfer, shadow testing and primary testing
  • Incorporating automation and testing best practices

The robust quality processes established by Infosys helped reduce testing costs by NZ$ 470,000, improve defect detection efficiency to 98% and accelerate time-to-market significantly. Further, by establishing the TCoE, Telecom NZ was able to avoid financial penalties totaling NZ$ 10 million.
