Purdue President France A. Córdova and Dr Pankaj Sharma of Purdue University visit Infosys, Bangalore
Bangalore, India , 2009: A high-level delegation from Purdue University, a research university in the US, visited the Infosys
campus in Bangalore. The visit was part of the university's India tour to strengthen their collaboration with other academic institutions and industrial partners in India, as well to meet with alumni, parents and major donors.
The delegation included Purdue President, France, A Córdova and Dr Pankaj Sharma, Associate Director for Operations and International Affairs at Purdue's Discovery Park.
Tan Moorthy, Vice President and Head (Education & Research), Infosys Technologies, offered an overview of the company. Subsequently, the delegation met Mr. N R Narayana Murthy, Chief Mentor and Chairman of the Board, Infosys Technologies, which was followed with a tree-planting ceremony.
"We discussed ways in which Purdue and Infosys can continue to pursue our parallel interests in IT research and development as well as internship possibilities for students," Córdova said. "I was deeply honored to take part in the ceremony on the Infosys campus".
