My name is Janna Keatseangsilp and I just completed my second year at Cornell University. As an industrial and labor relations major, I have spent much time studying outsourcing and India's role as an emerging global power, which is what attracted me to the InStep program. Being immersed in the industry itself is truly a unique experience, which I would recommend to anyone who is seeking international exposure. My projects at Infosys involved internal communications, and revising the reward and recognition policy in both India and overseas locations. It is exciting knowing that the work I am doing is strategically important for the company and will be in effect even after I leave.
I have just as many memories outside work too: Playing tennis with other Infoscions, going to movies with my co-workers, traveling on weekends and exploring Bangalore at night with the friends I have made from all over the world. I feel so fortunate to have this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and this summer is one which I will never forget.
