Jackie Korhonen
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Infosys Australia & New Zealand
As Managing Director and CEO of Infosys Australia & New Zealand, Jackie Korhonen is responsible for the company strategy and leadership across Australasia. Jackie brings 25 years of experience in leadership positions in the IT and BPO industry in Australia and Asia.
After graduating with dual degrees in Science and Chemical Engineering, Jackie started her career as an engineer. She built her career at IBM Australia & New Zealand, working her way up from a technical customer service role to the position of Vice President, Managed Business Process Services. From 1985 to 2008, she lived and worked in Australia, Singapore and China, brokering and managing some of IBM’s largest customer partnerships across the region, including India, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines and Indonesia.
Since joining Infosys in November 2008, Jackie has focused on realigning the Australia & New Zealand business to drive new sales, particularly in large transformation opportunities. In February 2009, she announced the launch of Infosys Australia’s consulting & systems integration practice. Other recent initiatives include Telstra’s selection of Infosys as one of only two key strategic partners in applications development, and a formal expansion into the New Zealand market.
Jackie is recognized for her thought leadership and is a frequent keynote speaker at conferences and symposiums such as Oracle OpenWorld, CeBIT Executive Briefing, the Australian arm of the World Economic Forum, the Financial Services Institute of Australasia, Australia New Zealand Trade & Investment Forum, as well as Infosys’ own quarterly CxO Forum series. Passionate about giving back to the Australian community, she recently "slept rough" as part of the 'CEO Sleepout' to help raise $2.9 million and greater awareness of homelessness in Australia.
In addition to serving as a director on the Infosys Australia & New Zealand Board, Jackie is a director of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA), the peak body of Australia's information and communications technology (ICT) industry. Jackie resides in Sydney with her husband Eric and son Nicholas.
