Collaboration and Open Innovation
The true value of any transformation initiative lies in an enterprise’s ability to predict and accept change. The execution of an IT program can be successful in isolation but it will not deliver benefits if an organization does not transform itself to leverage the outcomes. This session is a practical, real-time story of how an enterprise understood these imperatives and prepared for change.
Presenter: Dr Detlef Nauck, Head, Computational Intelligence Group, Intelligent Systems Research Centre, British Telecom
There is good money in data
LMG has run the Nectar Loyalty program in the U.K. since 2002. In 2007, as part of the Sainsbury’s renewal agreement in the Nectar loyalty program, LMG agreed to analyze the stock keeping unit-level data on behalf of Sainsbury’s. In addition, LMG proposed to develop a data analytics tool that allowed traders to gain insight from that data. It has been a great success. As part of this new business, LMG sold this powerful tool in the FMCG market in the U.K. Today, LMG is replicating this model around the world. This session narrates LMG’s journey so far and its future plans.
Presenters: Simon Hawkes, COO, LMG and Fiachra Woodman, IT Director, LMG
