S. D. Shibulal
Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys
S. D. Shibulal (Shibu) is the Co-founder, Member of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys. Shibu also serves as the Chairman of the boards of five of its subsidiaries, including Infosys Consulting and Infosys China.
Prior to becoming the CEO and Managing Director, Shibu served as the Chief Operating Officer between June 22, 2007 and August 20, 2011. Earlier, Shibu held a number of senior leadership roles including: Head of Worldwide Sales and Customer Delivery, Worldwide Head of Customer Delivery, and Head of Infosys Manufacturing and Distribution and Internet Consulting practice.
As a co-founder of the company, he was instrumental in the development of Infosys' Global Delivery Model, which established a new standard for the delivery of outsourced IT services and helped set the stage for the company's evolution into a leading multinational business consulting and IT services provider.
As the Chief Executive Officer, Shibu is focused on strengthening strategic partnerships with clients, increasing client relevance and evolving the company's business model towards achieving Infosys' aspirations of becoming the next generation global consulting and IT services corporation.
Shibu is a member of the Board of Trustees, the International Advisory Board and the Metropolitan College Dean's Advisory Board of Boston University. He is also a member of the International Board of Foundation, Globethics.net, the Seoul International Business Advisory Council (SIBAC), and the Global Corporate Governance Forum’s Private Sector Advisory Group.
Shibu holds an MS degree in Computer Science from Boston University and a master's degree in Physics from the University of Kerala.
Frank Appel
Chief Executive Officer, Deutsche Post AG
As CEO of Deutsche Post AG, Frank Appel is responsible for the global management of Deutsche Post DHL, the world's leading mail and logistics services group. Frank Appel joined the Group in 2000 as Managing Director of Corporate Development and has been a member of the Group's Board of Management since 2002. In 2008 he assumed the role of Chief Executive. In 2010, Deutsche Post DHL revenues exceeded € 51 billion.
Prior to joining the Group, Frank Appel was a managing partner at McKinsey & Co., Frankfurt am Main, Germany. He has a master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Munich and a PhD in neurobiology from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich.
Paul Gottsegen
Chief Marketing Officer, Infosys
As Chief Marketing Officer, Paul is responsible for all aspects of Infosys corporate branding, online, services and product marketing.
Prior to joining Infosys, Paul was vice president of Industry Standard Servers at HP where he oversaw product marketing, strategy and business operations for the company’s ProLiant and BladeSystem product lines. Previously, he was vice president of Enterprise Marketing at Dell Inc., responsible for product marketing, outbound marketing and enterprise alliances for the server business.
Paul also served as vice president of Marketing at Panasas Inc., a storage system provider for high-performance cluster computing.
Paul began his career at Compaq Computer Corp., where he spent 13 years in various roles in the enterprise division, including: leading the product launches of the original Systempro ProLiant servers, and as vice president of the North America sales region for the Industry Standard Server business.
Paul holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University and a master’s degree in business administration from The Wharton School.
B G Srinivas
Head - Europe, Member of the Board, Infosys
BG Srinivas (BG to his colleagues) is a Member of the Board of Directors of Infosys and heads Manufacturing sector, Engineering Services, Enterprise Mobility unit and Europe business for the company. BG joined Infosys in 1999 and has since played a central role in establishing and leading three growth engines each of which now contribute over $1 billion in revenue.
BG has led and grown new business segments at important inflection points in the industry. In 1999, BG was instrumental in setting up Enterprise Solutions unit at Infosys to help growth beyond Application Management offerings. This unit pioneered the deployment of global delivery model for high value added services like consulting led package implementation. In 2004 BG took responsibility of leading the European business which scaled more than 55% in 4 years, helping geographic diversification. In 2007, BG took over as the head of Manufacturing and Engineering units. The business grew to more than $1 billion in 2011 helping company expand into new industry segments like High-Tech, Automotive, Aerospace, Industrial and Resources Manufacturing.
BG is the Chairman of Infosys Australia, serves the Board of Infosys BPO and Infosys Consulting. He also represents Infosys on the advisory board of Ovum, a leading business analyst firm based in London.
Before Infosys, BG spent 14 years at ABB where he held several leadership positions at Process Automation and Power Transmission units. BG holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bangalore University and has participated in executive programs at IIM Ahmedabad and Wharton Business School. He lives in London with his family and passionately follows developments in the automotive industry.
Pierluigi Collina
One of the most recognised celebrities on the planet, Pierluigi has refereed at the highest level including the 2002 World Cup Final, the 1999 Champions League Final plus countless World Cup, international and Series A matches in his native Italy. He is uniquely respected by the players, managers and fans where his calm authority and sense of fair play under great pressure made him the best in the world's most popular sport. In 2010, Pierluigi stepped down from his role as head of Italian officials to take up a similar role organising referees for UEFA.
Stéphane Garelli
Stéphane Garelli is a Professor at both the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), and the University of Lausanne. He is also Director of The World Competitiveness Yearbook, the most renowned annual analysis of the competitiveness of nations and a reference for government and business leaders around the world. Closely connected to the business world, he is an authority on competitiveness and his research focuses particularly on how nations and enterprises compete in international markets. Stéphane is widely considered to be one of the top international lecturers on economic and business matters as he expertly highlights the fundamental changes that occur in the present economic and business environment.
