Haragopal heads the Finacle business at Infosys. Part of the Management Council at Infosys and the organization’s Tier leadership, Haragopal has been associated for over 23 years in the banking software and solutions space.
He has been for the last 18 years, part of the core leadership team at Finacle, the banking solution group of Infosys. Finacle, is now recognized globally by banks, consultants and analyst groups as one of the leaders in the core banking space. It has helped banks across the world to power-up their innovation agenda, enabling them to differentiate their products and service, enhance customer experience and achieve greater operational efficiency. Finacle is now powering 148 banks across 73 countries enabling its customer banks to serve 390 million accounts and 289 million consumers worldwide, a staggering 5% of the world's population.
For over a decade, Haragopal has been closely associated with Finacle-led business transformation initiatives at some of the leading banks across the globe. He has had board level interactions with many of the global top 1000 banks and partnered with them in their transformation journey.
Haragopal has led Finacle’s strategic partnership with leading associations like BAI (Bank Administration Institute) in America, EFMA (European Financial Marketing Association) in Europe, CII (Confederation of Indian Industry) and NASSCOM in India, to shape perspectives in the banking technology space. Technology-aided business transformation for banks and financial institutions is an area of special interest to Haragopal. His vision and passion for banking technology and innovation have evinced keen interest from global forums like World Economic Forum and publications like US Banker, The Banker, Asian Banking Journal where he regularly contributes on various aspects of retail banking transformation and software industry. He has also published papers which have been presented at International Industry conferences.
Haragopal is an alumnus of Delhi University and the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
