BT and Infosys collaborate to drive innovation
BT, a world leader in communications, is geared to bring innovations to market faster by partnering with Infosys in an open innovation network. Matt Bross, CTO, the BT Group, discussed how Infosys and BT undertake strategic research and innovation, in Billing OSS magazine.BT and Infosys signed an R&D contract to integrate Infosys’ Grid-based access of distributed information in the enterprise (Infosys GRADIENT) with BT’s Real Time Business Intelligence (RTBI).
BT’s RTBI platform uses artificial intelligence to automate the collection and analysis of enterprise data in real-time for rapid adaptation of operational processes. Infosys GRADIENT combines Enterprise Information Integration (EII) and grid computing to achieve scalable data virtualization.
The integration of the two systems empowers RTBI users to build their own Business Intelligence dashboards using real-time fused data from distributed data sources. In addition, Infosys GRADIENT grid-based architecture enables scalability of the RTBI platform.
According to Matt, “It is a great example of seeking innovation beyond the boundaries of the payroll for both organizations.”
