Infosys joins MIT Forum’s Manufacturing Technology Advisory Board

Infosys has joined the Manufacturing Technology Advisory Board of the MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation. The alliance brings together MIT’s academia and research, and turnkey technology of Infosys – to collaborate on key issues in the U.S. manufacturing industry.

Ravi Kumar S., Vice President of Consulting and Systems Integration for the Manufacturing unit at Infosys Limited, will represent the company on the Manufacturing Technology Advisory Board. The board will focus on issues such as technology, process innovation, and supply chain risk management (SCRM). Prof. David Simchi-Levi will be directing this board, which will be chaired by Leslie Sheppard, the Forum’s chief strategy officer. The board will soon be expanded further with the induction of more industry leaders.

Infosys and MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation will jointly publish an annual survey on manufacturing technology, in addition to instituting the MIT-Infosys Manufacturing Technology Transformation Award.

This alliance represents an inflexion point in our collaboration with the MIT Forum for Supply Chain Innovation, which began with Infosys being the official sponsor of its recent annual conference: Driving Transformation and Growth Enabled by Technology in the Manufacturing Sector.
