Hannaford Brothers partnered with Infosys to strengthen its relationship with suppliers. The company implemented Infosys' business-to-business (B2B) portal to enable better supplier collaboration.
Consumer Goods Technology, in a report on best practices in outsourcing, highlighted how Infosys' portal solution effected a business transformation. The portal provides an interface to brokers and suppliers for payment-related documents and information. The system enables electronic communication between Hannaford Brothers and suppliers, thereby eliminating contractual paper work. In addition, Hannaford Brothers can accelerate time-to-market by submitting new products to the system.
