Business Needs

Challenge
The client had recently changed the organization of IT from a decentralized to a consolidated centralized structure. So roles and functions were in a state of flux.

Our Solution
Infosys' solution recommended use of role based organization to address the client needs. This allowed for a workforce capabilities program to achieve the objective of an Agile IT Organization. A multi-year program was formulated to look at multiple dimensions like people processes, metrics, systems, career framework and competency alignment.

Career framework was defined for all roles in application services and infrastructure. Competencies were mapped to each role in alignment with enterprise-wide HR directives. Metrics were defined to track the effectiveness of the program.

Benefits
The client is able to clearly map future business needs with competencies needed. Competencies are mapped to roles and this enables the client identify any shortfall in workforce capabilities.
