Mobile enablement of transmission and distribution operations

Client Background

The client is one of the major electrical utility companies in US. Business Needs

The applications used by the client in field tools were not based on standard architecture and lacked consistency. Common functionality was repeated across applications and there were inefficient means of data replication resulting in a large volume of redundant data on field tools. Also addition of new applications to the system was a cumbersome task which led to high maintenance cost.

The client wanted common mobility architecture for T&D operations which would help them improve productivity and efficiency through process automation
