Conference room management: Sensors
Conference rooms are shared resources in any organization. Employees use IT systems like Microsoft Outlook to book the conference rooms. However, there is no way to track the real-time status of the conference rooms to indicate whether they are occupied or free. Internal research shows roughly 34 percent of the rooms booked are not utilized. The Wireless Sensor Network-based Conference Room Management System (CRMS) senses occupancy and other parameters to detect whether a conference room is being used or not.
