'My stay in India taught me many things: I learned that this country that had a lot potential to offer to the world, especially in the IT sector that has an immense pool of qualified talents.'When I was applying for internships, India wasn't really an option, but when I was offered to work on an interesting project in one of the best IT companies in the world, I just knew I had to accept. Moreover, it was the perfect opportunity to have a glance at India as an emerging economic player on the world scene. And clearly I wasn't disappointed!
I was involved for my internship in a project with SETLabs, which is the R&D unit of Infosys. This project consisted programming an interface between a computer and a robotic arm that would allow the arm to move to any point in space and press the keypads of a phone. This is part of innovative phone application.
My stay in India taught me many things. I learned that this country has a lot potential to offer to the world, especially in the IT sector that has an immense pool of qualified talents. My project allowed me to gain a great deal of experience in C++ programming. And last but not least, I had the chance of visiting amazing places like Hampi, Kerala and the Taj Mahal, having a great interaction with my mentors and my buddy, and of course having a wonderful time with interns from all over the world. Tomorrows careers start here.
