My name is Gabriela Palau and I am from Monterrey, Mexico.

The instep program has been a great experience for me. I have been working on developing a multimedia file transcoder. So it is great, and a little overwhelming to be working on a real application that many people will be able to enjoy.

During the weekends, I have had the opportunity to travel around India. I think this country is very interesting, especially because it has a very different and a very diverse culture, and you can never see enough of it.

I'm also very glad that I was able to participate in a CSR activity. One weekend I went with a team of Infosys employees to distribute notebooks and school supplies to some underprivileged, rural schools just outside of Mysore. We also visited a community of tribal people that are being educated so that they can incorporate in the mainstream world. It was an experience that allowed me to see the real India and I loved it.

I have really enjoyed working this summer at Infosys. This company is a great place to work in. Also, I have been able to make great friends from India and from all over the world and it's an experience that I will never forget and that will help me in the future.
