Grid Solution

Grid Computing is a form of distributed computing that involves coordination between resources and the sharing of computation among them. Grid offers the additional flexibility of using heterogeneous resources.

Grid in the Financial Services space
Applications/processes requiring high computing power, applications that run as batch processes, and applications that are used for randomized scenario testing - the same calculations performed repeatedly with different parameters; are ideally suited for Grid Computing.

Some processes of the financial world such as Risk Management, pricing analysis, and scenario analysis such as MonteCarlo simulations are therefore good targets for grid deployments.

The Infosys Grid Solution
The Infosys Grid solution accelerates financial analytics (e.g. Monte Carlo Algorithm), while embracing systems with diverse architectures (SPARC, Power, x86, IA_64, etc.) and brings them together to address taxing analytics.

The solution also processes streams in real time thereby enabling real time analytics using grid computing.
