Linux Security Tool
The Linux Security Tool is designed to reduce risk by detecting security loopholes in different versions of Linux. It mitigates the probability of breach and reduces effort and costs for remediation.
The tool works with a variety of Linux platforms like Red Hat, Mandrake, Debian and Suse and can also perform regular Security Audits on the system.
The tool audits the Linux platform, for:
- System Integrity
- Network configuration
- Permission and privileges
- Authentication
The audit throws up security lapses such as open ports, files with inadequate permission levels, existence of null users, multiple users with the same name among others.
