Microsoft Dynamics AX Implementation at a leading Software Products Company

Business Need
A software products company that leverages its worldwide network of channel partners to provide applications to its customers was challenged by complex, inter-dependent and disconnected processes and systems. Moreover, global multiple systems and platforms increased overheads and necessitated manual touch points resulting in poor transaction quality. In addition, it also lacked a consolidated database for customers and partners.

Our Solution
Infosys inventoried more than 200 existing processes across business functions, product lines and geographies to 91 streamlined business processes that covered all business aspects and enhanced operational efficiency. A Business Requirements document was created by mining 1,500 critical customer requirements.

We performed five global process validation workshops to validate requirements and processes. We also recommended the reuse of select existing applications in the solution architecture to reduce the ‘go-live’ timeline and identified critical features of business reports ensuring visibility for executives. Our solution was based on Microsoft Dynamics Axapta.
