Representatives from Dow Chemical, Dow Corning, DuPont and Infosys have developed a White Paper, commissioned by CIDX, to address business and technology issues related to the introduction of RFID in the Chemical industry. The panel will present a summary of the finding and coordinate a workshop to address the future direction of key technology in the chemical industry.

RFID has long been identified as an enabling technology for the next generation of Chemical industry requirements, but few projects are underway today. Infosys, as part of the vendor presentation, will speak on building a positive business case to justify the investments in RFID by highlighting Electronic Document Management.

Infosys will continue the discussion of positive business case development for RFID by focusing on reusable containers in the Chemical industry as part of the sponsor session. These containers represent significant expense, and RFID offers a platform to realize significant savings.
