Session description
For many, Enterprise Architecture is a tactical exercise of managing standards and promoting good architecture practices in the organization. Through the results of Infosys' survey of architects and decision-makers, this session will show how managing standards and promoting good architecture practices are indeed fundamental functions. It will also show how Enterprise Architecture is maturing as a guide for strategic decision-making. This session will examine the role of Business and Information Architecture in making EA strategic, and the changing face of the Enterprise Architect.

Sohel Aziz has extensive experience in business-technology alignment, technology strategy advisory, technology business case development, and technology program management and analysis. He has developed and executed technology-enabled business transformation strategies using offshore delivery models. He is currently focused on enterprise architecture and effective governance models for business-IT alignment. He is working to formalize the impact of Web 2.0 technologies on our perception of enterprise architecture.
