Infosys helps Lebara Mobile customers tap in and top up anytime, anywhere on any device

Lebara Mobile, one of Europe's leading mobile telecoms operators for foreign nationals, has announced the details of a new mobile site or M-Site optimized for mobile devices created by Infosys.

Lebara's UK customers can now automatically check their balance or top-up securely using a pre-registered credit card or voucher purchased from one of Lebara's retail partners. Customers can also top-up a friend or family member's phone on their behalf. Lebara is now one of the first mobile telecoms operators in the UK to offer its customers this convenience.

With 13% of all Internet traffic now generated through mobile devices and with more phones than people in the UK currently¹, it is more important than ever to provide the most convenient tools to meet the ever evolving needs of the customers.

Infosys developed the Lebara M-Site on a HTML5 platform, making it compatible with all mobile devices, from basic feature phones as well as smartphones and tablets.

Infosys has also been instrumental in helping Lebara mobile enable their sales force by inputting data into a hand-held device at the point of sale. Now automatic updates from the hand-held devices take place across billing, customer care revenue assurance and other enterprise resource planning (ERP) areas directly to Lebara's back-office system. This has delivered greater efficiency and accuracy across Lebara's entire stock-to-cash system.
