Vision 2050: A Global Dialogue on Sustainability
Infosys has contributed to ‘Vision 2050’, a report by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), which serves as a platform to bring stakeholders together to discuss the role of business for a sustainable world.
‘Vision 2050: The New Agenda for Business’ provides a pathway leading to sustainability by 2050, requiring fundamental changes in governance structures, economic frameworks, business, and human behavior.
The report was released at the World CEO Forum, on February 4, 2010, in New Delhi, where Infosys CEO and MD Kris Gopalakrishnan delivered a keynote lecture.
The report has been compiled by twenty-nine project member companies in consultation with CEOs and experts, and a dialogue with 200 companies across 20 countries. As an active participant, Infosys contributed through workshops, virtual working groups and feedback throughout the project.
