'Emerging markets offer an innovation ecosystem'
The success of inside-out and outside-in innovation at global companies showcases the potential of emerging markets. S. D. Shibulal, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Infosys, shares his perspective on emerging markets as growth and innovation hubs in the January 2011 edition of INSEAD Knowledge.
Shibulal believes that companies must adapt to the new world order, build innovative business models and co-create solutions to unlock value at the bottom of the pyramid. They must address the gap in education through industry-academia collaboration.
