Date: May 14, 2012
Time: 15:00 – 16:00 EDT
Venue: S230A
Session description
This presentation will provide proven strategies to discover and articulate the business value of a proposed project and then ensure the realization of the 'value promise' post implementation.
Case studies will be used to illustrate critical success factors necessary to turn 'expected ROI' into 'realized ROI'. An example of a critical success factor is ensuring business executives own both achieving business value and stopping potential 'value leaks'.
Preventable value leaks include overlooked 'hidden' benefits, valid benefits excluded due to managers' unfamiliarity with benefit potential, omission of important 'soft' benefits, lack of executive ownership, project scope changes made without considering value implications, and failure to incorporate value management in all phases of the project including blueprinting.
This session will provide the knowledge needed for CIOs to fundamentally change their companies' attitude towards achieving business value from their technology investments.

Date: May 16, 2012
Time: 16:15 – 17:15 EDT
Venue: S220F
Session description
Regression testing, integration testing and unit testing, all form important part of an SAP project. Testing is necessary but never sufficient. Testing becomes more complex in global-local object development scenario. The entire activity needs effort and costs more each time the activity is performed. The question that will be addressed at the session is – can we avoid it? The presentation will showcase a unique methodology developed with focus on process mapping in ARIS (Software AG) and Solution Manager as a prime driver in test automation with a precise execution model.
The model developed captures the data during process mapping, such that it enables an SAP functional as well as a test automation consultant to deliver end-to-end automation with ARIS, SAP Solution Manager, SAP TAO, and QC-QTP. The implementation of the above model at an automotive major helped in an agile rollout and design of a new shared service delivery model across the enterprise. This also helped the client gain confidence in SAP Test Acceleration and Optimization.
