Happy Birthday to the Infosys Indianapolis Technology and Innovation Hub

Christina Bezzy, Scrum Master / Agile Coach

As Infosys is celebrating the first anniversary of the Indianapolis Hub, I am also looking back to almost a years employment. Indianapolis was Infosys’s first hub and this was my first position as a contractor so we encountered a lot of firsts together. It hasn’t been perfect but there are many people working at the hub and across Infosys that are dedicated to make it a success. Most of all, I am thankful for the many opportunities I was given with Infosys that I would not have had anywhere else.

I had the opportunity to meet the Vice President of the United States, the Governor of Indiana, and the Mayor of Indianapolis. I was at the hub when the announcement was made that Infosys will build a US Training facility by the Indianapolis airport. I’ve spent my whole life in the state of Indiana. It is awesome to work for a global company that is bringing so many technical employment opportunities to Indianapolis.

As a contractor, I have worked for two established leading Manufacturing companies to create state of the art software. I am helping to make state of the art software at a 100-year-old company. I was part of a team that made a state of the art data system for a different company that is almost as old. Nothing makes me happier than to help teams and organizations create beautiful products that delight customers. Being able to do this for two of the top manufacturing companies in the world is really cool.

I was asked to travel to India and be part of the Infosys Convergence 2018 conference. Traveling to India is something I will never forget. Seeing the Infosys Bangalore and Mysore campuses was amazing. I met some remarkable colleagues from the US as we represented the US expansion of Infosys. Top that by standing on stage during the conference keynote with the President of Infosys talking about agile software delivery as part of a team that spanned the globe. Priceless.

I have recently been given the opportunity to grow a team of agilest in the Indianapolis Hub. My next opportunity will allow me to form a community of practice to help bring my passion of agile software delivery to employees across the hub.

Happy Birthday to the Infosys Indianapolis Technology and Innovation Hub. I am excited to see where the next year takes us.
