It wanted to be the number one multi-channel retailer in Denmark, with its stores and websites acting as ambassadors for each other, leading to greater overall sales and a better customer experience.

Although it had been selling non-food products online since 2009, its ecommerce capabilities were being held back by a
legacy IT platform. It was running out of capacity and support, and needed an ecommerce solution that could scale with the business over the next five years.
By partnering with Infosys, Dansk Supermarked was able to tap into a wealth of international knowledge gained from previous ecommerce projects in more developed markets, such as the UK and USA. Infosys supported Dansk Supermarked in identifying the key business capabilities for the cross-channel solution, defining the strategic roadmap, selecting the platform and implementing the solution based on the hybris suite of products.
