Infosys foundation contributes INR 1.9 crore to the Bannerghatta Biological Park

Infosys Foundation has taken yet another stride in its journey to support community welfare by committing INR 1.9 crore to the Bannerghatta Biological Park(BBP) for the creation of a new tiger enclosure and a two lakh liter capacity overhead tank. The fund also finances the sinking of five bore wells inside the Park.

The structures were inaugurated by Smt. Dr. N. Sudha Murty, Chairperson Infosys Foundation, Bengaluru in the presence of Smt. Rehana Banu , Chairperson, Zoo Authority of India, Sri Santosh Kumar Executive Director BBP along with other dignitaries.

The BBP honored Infosys Foundation and its staff in a thanksgiving ceremony. In a special gesture, two tiger cubs - Krishna (M) and Anuska (F) - named by Smt. Dr. N. Sudha Murty, were released to the new enclosure along with their mother Vishmaya.
