Cloud, Infrastructure and Security

Most global enterprises have built their businesses on legacy systems and applications, which are unable to respond effectively to today’s business needs. Most of their systems were designed when disruptive forces such as Cloud, Mobility, Social, Big Data, etc., did not exist. Over the years, these enterprises have accumulated legacy systems and applications that operate in silos, unable to communicate with each other.

The result is a fragmented operating environment littered with disparate technologies. Newer enterprises, which we refer to as GAFTA (Google-Apple-Facebook-Twitter-Amazon) have taken a different approach. They have found a way to abstract and codify this complexity using the power of software to build highly scalable and highly automated solutions to the same problem. The aspiration of Global 2000 companies will be to transform their existing infrastructure, and enjoy a GAFTA-like experience at reduced costs.

To keep pace with the competition and meet business needs, information technology (IT) infrastructure needs to be automated, flexible and scalable. Unfortunately, traditional IT systems do not possess these qualities, thereby creating a challenging scenario for companies that want to stay competitive.

Enterprises are leveraging the power of software to modernize their IT infrastructure to run operations with tranquility, drive extreme automation, re-imagine legacy business processes and remain agile through an ideal mix of on-premise infrastructure, public, private and hybrid clouds. All this, while proactively countering the growing security threat landscape and optimizing the cost of operations.
