Infosys and The University of Alberta (UAlberta), Canada announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing collaborative research ventures in the areas of Energy, Machine Learning and Climate Change. The MoU was signed by Dr. David H Turpin, Vice-Chancellor and President of UAlberta and Mr. Deepak Padaki, EVP & Group Head - Corporate Strategy and Chief Risk Officer, Infosys Ltd.
Through this partnership, Infosys and UAlberta aim to facilitate joint research activities, publications, short-term academic programs, knowledge transfer including mobility of staff and researchers. This collaboration will also provide an opportunity to the undergraduate, graduate, MBA and PhD students to participate in InStep, the flagship Global Internship Program of Infosys.
Speaking about the MoU, Deepak Padaki, EVP and Group Head, Corporate Strategy and Chief Risk Officer, Infosys Ltd. said, “We are always looking for bright, innovative minds to work with us in our quest to solve the complex problems of our clients using technology. The students and faculty of UAlberta will get a unique opportunity to engage in collaborative research, besides engaging with a host of new technologies”.
