Session description
As the utility AMI programs move from initial rollout to full-scale production, the triple threat of scale, scope and complexity predictably enter the picture. Volumes increase manifold and demands for increased functionality expands scope and this drives complexity.

From data collection to data management to billing and customer presentment, individual components must be optimized to meet performance metrics. And just as important, the interfaces between components must be tested and configured to eliminate bottlenecks so that the end-to-end system meets service-level requirements.

In this presentation, Infosys and PNM Resources will discuss their experiences on implementing a complex end-to-end AMI system that serves 230,000 customers in Texas. The presentation will cover solution design and the innovative tools and techniques used in testing and optimizing system components and interfaces.
