University of South Florida honors N. R. Narayana Murthy with two awards

Infosys Founder and Chairman Emeritus N. R. Narayana Murthy has been awarded two of its highest honors by University of South Florida - the Global Leadership Award and the College of Business Free Enterprise Award.

The annual Celebration of Free Enterprise, in its 27th edition this year, brings business and community leaders together to honor individuals or leadership teams who have made significant contributions to the free enterprise system in many areas of endeavor - from politics to the hospitality industry, from banking to technology. The award is presented by the USF College of Business.

Previous honorees of the Free Enterprise Award include General Motors President F. James McDonald, Author and Political Commentator William F. Buckley Jr., New York Stock Exchange Chairman and CEO William H. Donaldson and Bank of America Chairman Hugh L. McColl Jr. among others. Murthy accepted the honor at the University of South Florida Campus on May 14, 2012.
