Infosys Jaipur Gains LEED Platinum Certification for New Building

Jaipur - July 18, 2018: Infosys, in its continuous pursuit to be a sustainability leader, recently released its 11th Annual Sustainability Report. The report provides an in-depth understanding of the economic, social and environmental practices Infosys undertakes across its business in accordance with the Global Reporting Initiative G4 (Comprehensive) guidelines.

In line with its sustainability initiatives, Infosys has also focused its efforts on enhancing environmental performance by reducing emissions, becoming water sustainable, increasing the use of renewable energy and contribution to biodiversity. A clear indication of this commitment is the recent LEED platinum certification from the US Green building council, which is the highest level of green building rating achieved by the Software Development Block (SDB) - 1 building at the Infosys Jaipur campus this year. The campus now joins 19 other Infosys buildings across the country as a role model for green building design and implementation.

Earlier this year, the Jaipur campus installed a 763 kW Solar Car Port, the project raised the cumulative solar output by the campus to almost 1 MW and helped generate green energy while providing much-required shade to the vehicles from the scorching heat of Jaipur, especially during the summer.

To make the campuses water sustainable, Infosys also completed the implementation of ground water injection systems at its Jaipur, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mysuru and Pune campuses.
