Huawei and Infosys Collaborate to Take Banking to the Cloud

Huawei and Infosys recently announced a strategic partnership to offer the Finacle universal banking solution on the cloud. The solution will integrate Huawei’s cloud platform with the Finacle suite of solutions, including core banking, online banking and customer relationship management solutions. Huawei will integrate a multimedia collaborative platform (Media SDK) and a security management platform (BYOD SDK) for mobile devices. It will utilize the Infosys multi-channel framework to deliver an omnichannel banking capability to clients and prospects.

Huawei and Infosys will bring business-driven ICT infrastructure and customer-oriented innovations by implementing in-depth integration of industry application software. This strategic partnership will focus on the latest innovations in ICT infrastructure software, aimed at revolutionizing IT solutions for the financial services industry. The two companies will also offer a joint Big Data analytics solution to financial services organizations.

Finacle has been consistently rated as a market leader by industry analysts and serves 16.5 percent of the world’s adult banked population, powering over 743 million accounts at 57,000 branches in 84 countries. Proven to be the most scalable banking platform in the world, it is benchmarked to process six times the volume of transactions currently processed by the entire U.S. banking system and support an account base higher than the entire current population of China. An assessment of the top 1000 banks in the world revealed that banks powered by Finacle enjoyed 50 percent higher returns on assets, 30 percent higher returns on capital, and 8.1 percent points less cost to income than others.
