Infosys Launches Mom’s Net Facility for New and Expecting Mothers across 10 Development Centers

Infosys has launched Mom’s Net, a facility for new and expecting moms across its development centers (DCs) in Bhubaneswar, Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Mangalore, Mysore, Pune and Trivandrum. Complying with the Maternity Benefit Act, Mom’s Net is an extension of the existing dormitory with advanced features and flexibility for new and expecting moms.

Committed to the effective integration of new mothers returning to work after maternity leave, Infosys has adopted a two-pronged approach to make this integration a success, viz., childcare support and workplace supports for new mothers. As part of this integration program, Mom’s Net has been set up at all Infosys development centers with an objective to encourage expecting and new mothers, by offering them a conducive environment and infrastructure to return to work.

Regular sessions with senior leadership, training and talent teams have been arranged for new moms to keep them abreast of new technologies and equip them with skills required for upcoming projects. In addition to this, moms will also have access to the Infosys app ‘Sapphire’ that helps them stay connected, relevant and inspired, and Lex, the company’s online training platform that provides anytime, anywhere, any device access to Infosys’ courses. To motivate and enable the mothers to focus on their work and achieve work-life balance, there will regular engagement with female employees who have resumed work post maternity leave.

To provide new and expecting mothers a comfortable work environment, Mom’s Net in each DC has sofa sets and recliners for them to rest. Each facility has desktops to offer flexibility to work at their comfort. The facilities also have lactation rooms. To augment the overall ambience, Mom’s Net has been decorated with posters and furbished with designer furniture.

Infosys is committed to ensuring the proliferation of women in technology roles and this initiative underscores the company’s endeavors to encourage workplace diversity.
