Sanjeevani Charitable Trust, An Infosys Employee Volunteer Group Fights Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking with School Students
Thiruvananthapuram – June 28, 2018: Sanjeevani, the employee-led CSR group of Infosys Thiruvananthapuram Development Centre (DC), partnered with Kerala Police and Government Higher Secondary School, Kulathoor on the occasion of International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, to extend its support to create a society free of drug abuse. This initiative aimed at educating school students about health hazards associated with the use of drug and the importance of leading a healthy and safe life.
The program organized at the Government Higher Secondary School, Kulathoor was graced by Mr. KG Prathap Chandran, Sub inspector, Special Branch, Thumba Police station, Mr. Nujumudeen, Sub Inspector of Police, Commissioner office, Thiruvananthapuram, Dr. S Sudha, Principal at Government Higher secondary school, Kulathoor, Mrs. C Ambika, Headmistress, Government Higher Secondary School, Kulathoor, Mrs. Bindhu S R, PTA President and Ms. Indu TP, Principal Consultant at Infosys.
The gathering was addressed by Mr. KG Prathap Chandran, Sub inspector, Special Branch, Thumba Police station and Ms. Indu TP, Principal Consultant at Infosys followed by an informative skit by a special team from Kerala police. Around 400 students formed human chain and pledged against drug abuse. A signature campaign was also organized at the campus, where students wrote slogans against Drug and vowed not to use drug in any form.
