Infosys Pune Successfully Concludes its Fund Raising Campaign HEAL on Wheel

Pune - February 06, 2019: Sparsh – a healing touch, the employee-led CSR group of Infosys Pune Development Centre (DC) recently concluded the mega fund raising and awareness campaign drive – HEAL on Wheel. The campaign was initiated last year on December 6 and over the course of 6 weeks more than 200 individuals, including Infoscions and their family members registered as cyclists and pledged to raise funds for the key projects around education, health and community welfare.

The objective of the campaign was to generate funds to encourage and sponsor education at the high school and university levels, as well as address pressing social issues such as water filtration and disability aid. The cyclists reached out to their respective families, friends and professional networks to collect funds for the projects listed below:

  • FUEL a DREAM – Scholarship for high school students
  • Pratibha Poshak – Scholarship for university students via partnering NGO Friends of Children
  • Sponsorship for community water filtration plants in villages
  • Medical aid for the needy or person with disabilities

As part of the 50-kilometre ride the cyclists went across Maan Village and Darumbare village. The campaign received overwhelming support from more than 1,000 donors from across the world. At the closing ceremony fund raisers and volunteers were felicitated by the senior management of Infosys Pune DC for their noble contributions.
