Infosys ranks in top 50 among BusinessWeek’s 100 most innovative companies
- Ranked #10 in Asia-Pacific, # 32 in the world
In a survey conducted by BusinessWeek and Boston Consulting Group of the World’s Most Innovative Companies, Infosys was ranked #10 in the Asia-Pacific region.
In its April 24, 2006 cover story of the ‘The World’s Most Innovative Companies’, BusinessWeek commended Infosys for Best Practices in Innovation.
In a feature titled ‘Make a Seat at the Table’, the magazine has highlighted the company’s “voice of youth” program where nine young top performers are invited by the company’s top brass to brainstorm at senior management meetings.
The brainchild of Infosys Chairman & Chief Mentor N.R. Narayana Murthy, this program ensures that senior executives groom leaders and institutionalize innovation across the board.
The magazine quoted Infosys CEO Nandan M. Nilekani: “If an organization becomes too hierarchical, ideas that bubble up from younger people aren’t going to be heard.”
Significantly, Infosys recorded the second highest stock returns over a 10-year period (1995-2005) in the Top 100 Most Innovative Companies ranking.
