Infosys Technologies' Siebel Business Process Testing Solution Named "Partner Solution Offering of the Year" at HP Software Universe 2009

Bangalore, India - September 23, 2009

Infosys Technologies Limited (NASDAQ: INFY) today announced that its Siebel Business Process Testing (BPT) solution was recognized by HP as the "Partner Solution Offering of the Year" at the recently concluded HP Software Universe 2009. The Siebel BPT solution enables customers to maximize their investments in existing and planned Siebel functional testing environments. The solution is developed on HP Business Process Testing software and leverages Oracle's Siebel Test Automation features. It contains pre-built test cases and uses industry best practices to automate Siebel functional testing for customers quickly and cost-effectively.

"Receiving the ‘Partner Solution Offering of the Year' award highlights Infosys' value proposition to its testing clients," said Manish Tandon, Vice President and Business Unit Head, Independent Validation and Testing Services, Infosys Technologies. "Our innovative validation and testing solutions are built to address the business challenges being faced by our clients around ensuring process compliance, time-to-market and richer end-user experience."

Infosys' Siebel BPT Accelerator helps clients:

  • Reduce Siebel implementation costs by lowering functional testing costs
  • Shrink the implementation cycle by limiting build-time for the functional test suite
  • Limit upgrade and maintenance costs by minimizing modifications to the existing suite
  • Ensure complete functional coverage with a library of pre-configured components

"Customers can reduce costs and improve application quality by streamlining the application testing process," said Scott Strubel, Vice President, Americas Alliances and Channels, Software and Solutions, HP. "The combination of Infosys' Siebel Business Process Testing solution with HP Quality Center helps customers align testing with business objectives and dramatically reduce test cycle times."

Infosys collaborated with HP to build the BPT solution that is focused on addressing the challenges of Siebel functional testing. The award is a testimonial of Infosys’ capability in mitigating the CRM package testing challenges that companies face.

"This award is a validation of the close relationship between HP and Infosys. Clients can, therefore, benefit from HP's superior technical competence and Infosys' extensive Siebel implementation expertise," said Ravi Kumar S, Vice President and Global Head, Oracle Practice, Infosys Technologies.

"Oracle is glad to see our partners working together to provide an outstanding BPT solution that takes advantage of Oracle Siebel Test Automation features to lower the cost of functional testing of Siebel business applications," said George Jacob, Group Vice President, CRM Applications, Oracle.

The Infosys and HP relationship has fostered the development of several tools and solutions, such as the Siebel BPT Accelerator and Infosys ACCORD, which enable firms to cost-effectively test and improve the quality and performance of systems, and maximize business ROI.
