The scale of our operations made it tough for us to measure things like direct and indirect emissions along with emissions outside of our systems – like that caused by employees commuting to work. We knew we’d have to count on technologies like predictive analytics, IoT, and machine learning to help us out.
WE LET TECHNOLOGY LEAD US TO A SUSTAINABLE SOLUTION
We set up a Central Command Center at our Bengaluru campus to monitor over 20 million square feet with 91 buildings. Today smart monitoring systems moderate power supply and generate heat maps to save energy.
Predictive analytics give us a clear picture of indirect energy spends.
SO, WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?
Today, we’ve reduced our carbon footprint by about 70% for direct and indirect emissions within our systems.
44.6% of the electricity we need in our India campuses is met through renewable sources.
