The theme of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2012, The Great Transformation: Shaping New Models, focuses on today’s challenge that requires new models, bold ideas and personal courage to ensure that this century improves the human condition.
The theme is founded on four, dual imperative sub-themes reflected throughout the official program:
- Growth and employment models
- Leadership and innovation models
- Sustainability and resource models
- Social and technological models
The program will also encompass deliberations around how leaders can return to their core purpose of defining what the future should look like, aligning stakeholders around that vision and inspiring their institutions to realize that vision.
At the annual meeting in Davos-Klosters between January 25 and 29, Infosys participates in sessions where global leaders discuss shaping of the new reality. Infosys also hosts a luncheon panel discussion on 'Building Tomorrow's Enterprise: Role of the CEO' on Wednesday, January 25, 12:00 - 14:00 at Salon Atlantis, Hotel Steigenberger Belvédère.

Building Tomorrow’s Enterprise - Role of the CEO
Panel Discussion & Lunch
Wednesday, January 25, 12:00 - 14:00
The role of the CEO, as enterprise-navigator, has now evolved to that of a strategist who also drives the innovation agenda and leads organizational change. Creativity in visioning and grit to cope with the complexity in the global environment are emerging as leadership qualities that must necessarily complement conventional attributes like management acumen and operational rigor.
Faced with the mandate to deliver tangible CEO-value in a mere 24-36 month window AND the responsibility to lay or strengthen the foundations of the enterprise’s tomorrow, how does the CEO tackle the balance of short and long term goals?
