A technology professional and fitness buff, Michael Voegele was appointed CIO of Adidas in October2015, assuming global responsibility for its activities in over 100 countries in this role, he participates in the digital transformation of Adidas, directly contributing to brand desirability and the company’s commercial success.
Michael’s focus on “transform creation”, as et of digital solutions that impact the product life cycle even before the creation phase and beyond the “omni- channel” product delivery, is changing dramatically the way Adidas offers the best product and experiences to their consumers. In this context, the creation of an “open digital platform”, that will enable Adidas partners, vendors and consumers to create products together, is also a key priority. As part of the Adidas digital transformation, Michael is committed to support Adidas key strategic markets, provide cloud-based solutions and mobile infrastructure at scale, power data-driven decisions, and invest in talents to become the fastest-learning it organization.
Michael joined Adidas in April 2011 as VP Group functions & cross functional and head of enterprise architecture to take on the lead in defining and executing comprehensive group data management and it security strategies for Adidas. He was also in charge of delivering world-class IT services and systems to the Adidas global finance and HR teams.
Prior to joining Adidas, Michael held various management positions at SAP including Vice President for the Centre of Expertise EMEA and Head of Scm, Centre of expertise logistics. In his foundational years, Michael graduated as a business engineer at the university of Karlsruhe and is passionate about sports and putting people in the center of all activities.
