Paul Brotzel

Global CIO, AON

Paul Brotzel joined Aon in April 2014 and currently holds the position of Global CIO for Aon’s Risk business.

Paul has over 30 years’ experience in the IT and Insurance industry holding multiple senior roles including board positions. Prior to joining Aon, Paul held multiple CIO, CTO and COO roles for major organisations such as Allianz, St. Paul Travellers and Cardif (Part of the BNP Paribas group)

During his time at Aon he successfully launched and delivered the largest IT transformation programme the company had ever attempted. Creating a future state operating model and environment to support and accelerate Aon’s productivity and growth agenda.

Paul’s strong technical and business background, combined with a very clear and future facing strategy is supporting the Aon business expansion whether it is created organically or via M&A.

Paul has spent much of his career working internationally leading him to live and work in multiple countries around the world including Chicago and Sydney.
