Sid Siddiqui

CIO, COFCO International

Sid Siddiqui joined COFCO International in 2015 as the Global CIO for IT Services, headquartered in Geneva.

Sid is responsible for the strategic direction of all things Infrastructure from end user computing services to private / public cloud. With responsibility for the operational excellence across this IT landscape a large part of the 3 year strategy has seen the transformation of a very distributed organization to a standards based architecture with a global operational model. With the growth of three Centre’s of Excellence, across three major time zones to support the 24 x 7 operational support models.

With responsibility for establishing the global security strategy across COFCO, the transformation has seen an ever evolving landscape with much tighter security controls through execution of the latest industry best practices and a renewed focus on Disaster Recovery objectives.

Sid comes with 20 years of professional experience with a strong technical foundation. Sid joined COFCO from Telefonica Madrid where he was the Global Product Manager for Cloud Services driving the portfolio of cloud products and services to a global partner base. With previous engineering and technical consultancy roles within Cisco and Siemens, Sid has sat on all three sides of the IT triangle from IT manufacturers, to system integrators through to building the end user experience at COFCO.

Sid holds an Honor’s degree in Information Technology from the United Kingdom where he has spent most of his professional career.

Sid’s passion and drive comes from people first and then from business. The challenge of taking business insights and applying technology, innovation and optimization is the driver that continues to challenge.
