Sudhi Sinha

Vice President and General Manager, Digital Solutions at Johnson Controls

Sudhi is a technology and general management professional with over 20 years of experience across a broad spectrum of industries.

He is a published expert in topics around Big Data, energy and managing people. He is the author of “Making Big Data Work for Your Business: A Guide to Effective Big Data Analytics and Building an Effective IoT Ecosystem for Your Business”. He also has written numerous articles for industry and academic publications on subjects ranging from the “Internet of Buildings” to the use of big data and analytics by human resources departments.

Sudhi is currently Vice President and General Manager of the Digital Solutions business at Johnson Controls and is responsible for the P&L focused on creating and commercializing new data enabled and IoT offerings. The Digital Solutions business is a growth platform for Johnson Controls to bring value to customers by reducing costs, minimizing risk and failures, and improving comfort, health and safety of building occupants using data analytics and IoT.

In this role Sudhi is responsible for sales, operations, product management, marketing, and technology development functions. Prior to running the Digital Solutions business Sudhi was responsible for leading the product development and engineering teams globally across controls, security & fire and connected offerings, in addition to the operations and data center organization for various connected offerings for the $11 billion Building Efficiency business of Johnson Controls. In his other responsibilities at Johnson Controls Sudhi was Director & General Manager for the Center of Excellence in Engineering and Director Strategy and Business Development.

Before joining Johnson Controls in 2008, Sinha spent 11 years at Tata Consultancy Services. Starting as a programmer, he assumed increasing responsibilities over the years, including management of large ERP and PLM programs, global account management for Fortune 500 clients, regional leadership in the United States, key responsibilities in the Corporate Program Office reporting to the COO, and finally leadership of a business unit focused on Fortune 500 diversified industrial companies.
