Sharmini Sivathas

IT Director & Service Management, AMP

As an AMP Director of Technology for over a decade, Sharmini has led many transformational business and technology programs including large scale outsourcing of technology functions, migration of strategic business systems to the public cloud and uplifting business capability through the introduction of cognitive automation. Her remit has covered technology service experience, IT contact centres, centralised run, continuous improvement and learning & development. The team aims to provide delightful and seamless experiences by walking in their customer’s shoes, building services that work well anywhere, using data insights to continually evolve, automating, developing a highly engaged team that exceeds expectations and measuring what they deliver. Sharmini’s AMP career began in 2001 as a Project Manager. In 2003 she moved to IT@AMP where she worked as a Program Manager. She was promoted to the role of IT Director for AMP Capital Investors in 2007, before moving to her current role in 2008. Sharmini has led the technology components of AMP’s response & remediation program after the Royal Commission and is currently leading the technology stream for the sale of insurance and mature wealth products to Resolution Life. Prior to AMP Sharmini held a number of IT roles in ANZ Funds Management, Colonial Group and Prudential. Sharmini is Sri Lankan, but has called Australia home since 1987.
