Executive Director of Data Intensive Science & Director of Infosys-Cambridge AI Centre – University of Cambridge

Dr. Fergusson is a member of Centre for Theoretical Cosmology in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at Cambridge University. His current research interests are in the confrontation of theory and data in cosmology, specifically connecting models of the early universe via primordial non-Gaussianity to the Cosmic Microwave Background radiation and Large-Scale Structure.

Dr. Fergusson oversees the Data Intensive Science Group, which is focused on research at the interface of AI and fundamental Physics. This role covers four main programmes: the Centre for Doctoral Training in Data Intensive Science, the MPhil in Data Intensive Science, the Data Intensive Science industry training programme and the Infosys-Cambridge AI Centre.
