Step in to Solve Problems of the Future

This past summer, I had the opportunity to travel to Bangalore, India where I took part in InStep Internship program, a unique internship that brings together students from top universities globally to India where they get the opportunity to work on a live project in new and emerging technologies while experiencing India’s diverse culture. During my time with Infosys, I worked as an Employer Branding and Marketing Intern. More specifically, I worked on a marketing campaign project that sought to improve and enhance Infosys’s brand in Australia.

I conducted extensive research on the competitive intelligence landscape in Australia and developed marketing practices and strategies that would position Infosys as an employer-of-choice to graduates and lateral talent in Australia. At the end of my internship, I presented my finding and marketing tactics to the Marketing Head of Australia and other members of the Global Marketing Department. The internship offers flexibility to work on secondary projects as well. On top of my marketing project, I was also able to design my own side project revolving on Infosys’s Global Education Relations Initiative. I worked with other interns to launch the InStep Global Ambassador program, a program that establishes current interns as campus ambassadors at their respective colleges.

While working as an intern was an amazing experience in its own, traveling throughout India and bounding with students from diverse backgrounds were some of my other highlights. Every weekend, I travelled to different cities in India to explore the different monuments and sites while trying different cuisines. I highly recommend the InStep program to anyone who is curious in exploring one of the world’s most prominent cultures and anyone who wants to in(STEP) into a company that seeks to solve problems of the future!
