From AI Pilots to Enterprise-Scale Value
Insights
- Enterprise AI is moving from experimentation to industrialization, with a clear focus on measurable business outcomes and operating model transformation.
- Responsible by design is emerging as a critical enabler of trust, compliance, and large-scale AI adoption across organizations.
- Agentic AI represents the next frontier, where AI systems evolve from insight generation to autonomous action within enterprise guardrails.
Ashiss Kumar Dash shares how enterprise sentiment around AI is rapidly evolving. From isolated pilots to full-scale, industrialized deployments focus on measurable business outcomes. Organizations are no longer experimenting at the edges; they are reimagining processes, embedding AI into core operating models, and integrating it into decision-making frameworks and organizational culture. At the same time, responsible AI has become foundational, with a “responsible by design” approach driving trust, compliance, and adoption across the enterprise. Dash also highlights the rise of agentic AI, where intelligent agents work alongside humans to not only generate insights but act within defined guardrails. With over 600 agentic AI programs underway, Infosys is helping clients scale AI across platforms and unlock enterprise-wide value, positioning AI agents as the next generation of digital coworkers.
Ashiss Kumar Dash:
In my recent conversation with clients, CXOs, and prospects, what we have observed is that the sentiment towards AI has rapidly evolved. Clients are now talking about moving from pilots to production, moving to an industrialized implementation of AI at an enterprise level, so that the business outcomes are clearly visible. So definition of business outcomes from AI, ability to reimagine processes and be able to put AI into the core operating model, into the decision-making framework, into the entire organizational culture is something that is being discussed in a wide variety of topics. And the third aspect is how do you do all this with the responsible AI in mind? And what we call is responsible by design. And the implementation of that should bring trust to be able to have compliance requirements. And responsible AI also helps with adoption of the AI solutions. There is deeper trust in the organization.
These are the three key points that keep evolving when we have these discussions with clients. That is the reason Infosys is investing so much in all three areas, and we are able to get that mind share of our clients when it comes to being their partner of choice for AI initiatives. So what has changed about the agentic AI discussions is this rise of agents, AI agents that work side by side with human beings, and that not only provide deep insights into the operational aspects of decision making, they actually add decisively within the guidelines, within the framework that we provide them in terms of the guardrails. At Infosys, we are working on 600-plus agentic AI programs across the globe. And we are super excited about how we can deploy this at scale, how we are able to develop the value across platforms. And agents are the future AI coworkers for all of us. And this will only grow in size and scale.
