A global automotive manufacturer needed to replace a legacy procurement system (running on mainframes since 1992), handling almost 99% of the client’s purchase volume (€100 Billion +) with a more flexible, robust, compatible cloud-based solution.
Solution
Infosys and the client aimed to “Navigate the Next” digital frontier by building an intelligent and automated SAP and S4 Hana-powered SRM procurement system. Leveraging Agile methodology and using Microsoft Azure platform as a service (PaaS), the system seamlessly manages the sourcing of 20 million parts by 4,000 buyers and 700,000 global suppliers.
