Azeem Azhar is an entrepreneur, investor, and advisor with more than 20
years of
experience in the technology sector. He publishes the widely referenced newsletter Exponential
View,
which explores how technology affects society and has become an influential resource for
investors,
founders, and policymakers. He also serves as Senior Advisor on AI to Accenture’s CTIO. In
addition,
Azeem advises a number of innovative entrepreneurial companies, including Kindred Capital,
Onfido,
Ocean Protocol, and ReInfer, as well as the Harvard Business Review.
Earlier in his career, Azeem founded PeerIndex, a venture-backed
startup that earned industry
recognition and was acquired in 2014. He has also invested in over 30 startups, including
companies
that later exited to Microsoft and Amazon, among others. He began his professional journey in
journalism, reporting on technology for The Guardian and The Economist. Over the years, he has
also
held strategy and innovation positions at the BBC and Thomson Reuters, and served on the
non-executive board of Ofcom, the UK’s integrated communications regulator.
